The firsts skates with wheels was invented for the belgium Joseph Merlin in 1970. But thay have never been more famous than ice skates that was invented by the kings in holland.
The most important competition all over the word is the world competition because rolling skate is not an olympic game.
In 2008 the world competition was in murcia and this year the show competition of Sapin (in group) is going to be in Lleida!!! at finals of Marz.

My favourite show group is Olot, because I thing they're the best. In 2007 they won the world championship with her brilliant actuation "the ducks". Last year they had a new coreography called "Screws" but it is worse than the ducks. Two years ago, They came to my club of skating (Llista blava) and I could see them
